学校介绍
华西医科大学是最早被列入国家“211工程”的四所综合性重点医科大学之一；其渊源于1910年美国、英国、加拿大等5个教会组织在成都华西坝创办的私立华西协和大学，是中国最早的医学综合性大学，亦是中国现代高等医学教育的数个发端之一。2000年9月，为顺应中国高等教育改革，原华西医科大学与原四川大学合并组建新的四川大学，华西部分更名为四川大学华西医学中心；中心下设华西临床医学院、华西口腔医学院、华西药学院、华西基础医学与法医学院、华西公共卫生学院，统称华西五院。
